#HeartTheHomeless: Keeping people informed of current events, news, and solutions concerning homelessness. Due to the overwhelming deficit of shelter bed availability, the disproportionate number of shelter beds versus the much higher number of homeless people (1,500 vs 6,000), the harassment of the homeless by LVMPD, and the lack of concern by the city officials.

#HeartTheHomeless has taken up an effort to get the word out — This is not appropriate, unconstitutional, and inhumane treatment of our citizens. Being without a home is hard, and often traumatizing. The homeless population need our compassion, solidarity, and assistance.

#HeartTheHomeless was created as a local Las Vegas initiative to inform the community of news relating to the homeless camping ban in Las Vegas city limits, the on-going fight to overturn that ban! Connect with our FB page here.
