Connecting Trans People To What Matters
The Problem:
GLAAD.org states, “Trans people are:
–4x more likely to live in poverty.
–Experience unemployment at 2x the rate of the general population, with rates for people of color up to 4x the national unemployment rate.
–90% report experiencing harassment, mistreatment or discrimination on the job.”
The TMN Solution:
TMN is using funds from an online merchandise store to serve the trans and gender non-conforming community in the form of direct assistance and resources. Each purchase directly supports a marginalized transgender person.
TMN is focused on two areas: Assistance & Resources. Within those areas we serve clients with the following outreaches:
-Legal Representation
-Employment Services
-Appropriate Clothing
-Community Resources
-Community Education
-Community Support

We’ve had:
- 884 total downloads of our shared resources.
- 361 people keeping regular traffic to our featured jobs page.
- 9 new Trans Job Connect clients in two months.
- 3 clients seeking outside resources.
- 1 new partnership, that’s led to 2 new legal volunteers.
- 2 new projects.
Assistance Projects:

Trans Job Connect: Connecting Trans People to Jobs Since September 2017. Featured Jobs: Featured job listings, information about the company, and links directly to the company’s job listing and application. FB group here.
Trans Legal Matters: TMN has partnered with We The Action, an organization that provides access to lawyers who volunteer their time and talent for non-profits. Read more on our Trans Legal Matters Project page.
